Unfortunately, the one thing that we can all really count on can’t be counted on anymore. Friends come and go like seasons, trends – like any transient thing. Most of us hold on to these moments because of their very nature. Their nature of being wonderful, but ultimately fleeting. Like sand that slips through your fingers, friendship often lasts but for the briefest of durations. What remains are memories of a time when you were happy.

What wouldn’t you give to relive those moments – to hear a friendly word, to share a meaningful conversation, to enjoy a quiet meal, or an evening of unbridled fun? When there’s no one you can call, don’t fret –company is just a call away. Click here to know more.

The thing with paid is that you’re guaranteed a good time despite the fact that you’ve never met your “appointment based friend”. A “friend for hire” is great company to party away your blues or to enjoy a playful conversation with, in the comfort of your own home. The more activities you indulge in the better!

Get your car running, hit the town and forget the past ever happened. Now is all about you and your companion. You’ll appreciate each moment more and truly give of yourself to the experience because along the way, you’ve learned to value the good things in life.

The greatest feeling is in giving. Show her a great time by doing the things you’re both interested in. A fine dining experience, a trip down the highway, or even a dance. The night is yours to seize and with a beautiful woman at your arm, there’s nothing more you’ll need.

But does this stay the same all the time? How are Theatre Tickets affected by current events and can they ever lead to massive drops in sales?

The truth is a lot of people ask the same question and this is why the West End makes the news when issues like the recent economic downturn take hold, with many wondering if audiences wanted to part with their cash to see a play or musical. In this case the West End benefitted and once again shows like Phantom of the Opera saw an influx with visitors as audiences members sought to forget about the dreary world outside.

The same questions were asked about the Royal Wedding in 2011 and the West End even reflected the climate by launching “Betty Blue Eyes” at the Novello Theatre, which was set during the wedding between then-Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip in 1947.

But at the moment there’s a lot of talk concerning the West End and next year’s London Olympics – not to mention the Queen’s jubilee – and there are fears that there will be a large drop in visitor numbers during the period in which the games take place. This is due to tourists arriving specifically to witness the sporting events rather than visit regular tourist attractions like West End theatres.

Stomp the musical is a unique form of musical theater in which dance, comedy and percussion is created using body parts and various objects. It was created in 1991 in Brighton, United Kingdom by Steve McNicholas and Luke Cresswell. From 1981 to 1990 they worked together to perfect the art of nontraditional theatre. The pair started by performing in a street band that toured Europe extensively throughout the 80?s. They created pieces for high profile companies such as Heineken and celebrities like Bette Midler. By the summer of 1991 the duo financed, directed and produced the original Stomp, which previewed at London?s Bloomsbury Theatre.

The original United Kingdom cast consisted of eight members Luke Cresswell, Nick Dwyer, Sarah Eddy, Theseus Gerard, Fraser Morrison, David Olrod, Carl Smith and Fiona Wilkes. Wilkes was a late addition, joining the group in the fall of 1991. The cast have performed their choreographed percussion all over the world. The high demand for such entertainment inspired the formation of other Stomp productions with larger casts. Three American productions and a total of five productions toured the UK, Scandinavia, South Africa, Germany, The Netherlands and France.

Stomp the musical has progressed into recording music for various artists, creating music for movie soundtracks, appearing on Sesame Street and featured in numerous commercials. They have created television specials, performed with Spike Jones and the Muppets. Stomp the musical is so popular that in 2004 a street in New York was named after the group.

Performances include the use of ordinary objects as musical instruments. Some of the instruments include brooms, lids, poles, sand, bananas, matches, athletes chalk, water, bins and drumsticks. The mixture of instruments, in combination with choreographed dance moves, creates an unforgettable show for all audiences. It brings together artist from all genres including tap, hip hop, jazz, ballet, break dancing and even martial arts. The performers create sounds using these objects while dancing or using pantomime to imitate different animals, while never speaking a word. They utilize their body to hit, rub, stump, shake or do whatever movement is needed to create sound. Stomp the musical reminds their audience of the simplest forms of music. It points out how music is everywhere, in brooms, water, trash cans, lids and many everyday objects. This high energy performance with a simplistic theme breathes life into lifeless objects igniting the crowd with a musical they will forever remember.

Blood Brothers debuted in 1983 and won the Oliver Award for Best New Musical. There have been several productions of the musical including one on Broadway and the current production in London which began in 1988. It is still running today at the Phoenix Theatre in London. To date, it is one of the longest running musicals in history.

Over the years, the musical has developed a strong cult following and has seen several cast changes. The current cast consists of Natasha Hamilton who plays Mrs. Johnstone and is wowing audiences with her powerful and impressive vocals. Stephen Palfreman plays the role of Mickey and been portraying this character quite impressively for years. Simon Willmont is excellent as Eddie and the role of Mrs. Lyons is played brilliantly by actress and singer, Vivienne Carlyle. The Narrator is played by Phillip Stewart who does a fantastic job portraying the sinister and menacing role that captivates audiences.

Blood Brothers is a two act play that centers around the familiar theme of twin brothers who are separated at birth. One is raised poor, the other is raised in luxury, and they come to meet a tragic end. The musical also explores the differences in classes.

At the beginning of the musical, Mrs. Johnstone who is a working class woman and who been abandoned by her husband discovers that she is pregnant with fraternal twins and fears she cannot raise both sons because she already has five other children.

Mrs. Johnstone confides in her boss, Mrs. Lyons who persuades Mrs. Johnstone to give up one of her twin sons to her. Mrs. Lyons promises to give the boy a life of luxury and privilege. Mrs. Lyons cannot have children of her own.

Mrs. Johnson raises Mickey and Mrs. Lyons raises Edward. The two women try to keep the boys separated in life, but one day the boys meet, become friends, form a strong bond and become ?blood brothers.?

Mrs. Lyons moves away, the boys are separated for a time until Mrs. Johnstone moves near Mrs. Lyons, and the boys meet again and form a close relationship. They are older now and they fall both fall in love with the same girl whose name is Linda. Edward goes off to college and Mickey gets a job. Linda and Mickey marry. Mickey turns to crime after losing his job and is sent to prison for his crimes.

When Mickey is released from jail, Linda turns to Edward for help because Mickey is addicted to pills. From Mrs. Lyons, Mickey finds out that Edward and Linda are having an affair. Mickey gets a gun, kills his brother and is then shot and killed by police.

The musical ends where it began with the narrator asking. ?Did you ever hear about the Johnstone twins??

Blood Brothers is a fast-paced well-acted musical that is sure to entertain audiences for many more years.

It was introduced to the theater world in 1985 at the Barbican Centre in London so in 2010 it celebrated its 25 year anniversary. It was written originally by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schenberg and then produced by Cameron Mackintosh. It is known for being the third longest running show on Broadway. Claude-Michel Schenberg was a French composer who wrote most of the play in 1980. Alain Boublil then came in and wrote the lyrics to the songs. These two guys worked on a lot of different plays together.

The play is based on the book of the same title by Victor Hugo. The story takes place in France in the 19th century. It follows the characters struggles in their lives with redemption. There is a wide variety of characters like prostitutes, students, and factory workers. The play has won several awards. The first award is a Tony Award for the song, ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ and 9 other Tony Awards. The second award was three Laurence Olivier Awards. The third award is 7 John Kraaijkamp Musical Awards. The last Award is the London LifeStyle Award for show of the year.

There are nine main characters in this play. All of these characters make for a very interesting play. They are eponine, Jean Valjean, Javert, Marius, Cosette, Fantine, Thenardier, Madame Thenardier, and Enjolras. eponine is played by Chasten Harmon. Jean Valjean is played by J. Mark McVey. Javert is played by Andrew Varela. Marius is played by Justin Scott Brown. Cosette is played by Jenny Latimer. Fantine is played by Betsy Morgan. Thenardier is played by Michael Kostroff. Madame Thenardier is played by Shawna M. Hamic. And the last character, Enjolras is played by Jeremy Hays.

The play is divided up into two acts. In the first act, it starts off with Jean Valjean being in prison for 19 years and is finally released. He was in prison because he stole bread from a store for his starving sister and then he tried to escape prison so he got even more years. In the second act, it starts off with students starting a barricade to spy on the government troops. The army warns the students that they need to surrender or they may die. But they do not listen and the government attacks them. You can hear women crying over the lost of the students.

The band consisted of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon, and Roger Taylor. The made many accomplishments such as 18 number one albums, 18 number one singles, and 10 number one DVDs, and have sold over 150 million albums. They inspired people with their catchy tunes and styles. But sadly not every band can perform for ever, trajedy happens but the music still goes on. People can still listen to their classic Queen CD’s and watch their old music videos and concert footage. They may think that they cannot ever see their favorite band play live again, but they have thought wrong. Now with the We Will Rock You musical you can relive all of your favorite Queen songs to the fullest.

The We Will Rock You musical is based off of the songs of Queen. Ben Elton who is a British comedian and author wrote the musical along with Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor. After lengthy preparation to assure the show was great, it opended in the West End at the Dominion Theatre on May 14, 2002. After the debut critics were not that happy, but the audience was in love and considerd it a favorite. Ever since that opening day it has been playing sold out shows all over the world to satisfied audiences. This musical also has become the longest running musical at the Dominion Theatre thanks to the amazing feedback.

The show takes place in a futuristic time where originiality is frowned upon and musical instruments are outlawed. Yet one dreamer comes about with a passion and an orignality and begins to bring about the return of rock ‘n roll. The show refrecences to a lot of Queen classics. For example the main charachters name is Galileo, which is a name mentioned in Queens hit ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. The show is filled with Musical greatness as Queen songs are the main soundtrack to the show. You will be on your feet singing along to all of your favorite Queen songs. Along with the great music you will be visually pleased to with all of the great props and stunning costumes that just help to set the mood of a great show. Perhaps one is intrigued by King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi or the cub Simba. Whatever the fascination, this long running musical is going strong worldwide. Not just for Broadway but is also playing all over including Australia, Japan, The Netherlands, France, China and many more cities.

Just like the original movie the scheming lion, Scar, wants to take his brother Mufasa?s place as King. Unlike the movie, the musical captivates and draws the audience in for a closer look. The characters are dressed in colorful clothes and the musical aspect is fascinating. Words cannot describe what the audience will see and feel. You will be immersed from beginning to the end. Everyone needs to take a chance to see this awe-inspiring production. From the first scene when Rafiki gathers the animals at Pride Rock, till the last scene when Simba and Nala?s new cub is tossed into the air, this musical will stimulate.

The musical aspects of this production, have required it to change some parts of the original to make the storyline fit. One can still expect to hear great songs like: The Circle of Life, Grasslands Chant, The Morning Report, The Lioness Hunt, I just can?t wait to Be King, Chow Down, They Live in You, Be Prepared, The Stampede and Hakuna Matata. The music engages the audience and one will find themselves singing along to old time favorites.

Going behind the scenes and seeing how these actors become true characters is captivating. From the giraffes walking on stilts to the mechanical headpieces, these actors take more than an average skill to operate these heavy costumes.

The musical begins at Pride Rock, with all the animals gathering to meet the new cub, Simba. Simba grows into a wonderful cub, and Scar?s jealousy rages. As Simba grows older and curious he wanders into forbidden land that his father warned him against. Simba takes along some friends who eventually become trapped in the gorge. Mufasa cannot let his son be hurt, so he goes to face Scar, where he ultimately dies. After his father?s passing, Simba is made king. Scars jealousy rages and is turned on Simba. A fight breaks out between Scar and Simba and Scar ends up going over the cliff to his death. From curtain up till curtain down you will be amazed at this entire production. The Lion King is a must see musical.

Music plays a large role in everyday life. Not only is it important on its own but it also plays a large role in every other art form in the world, including the soundtracks to films and TV shows. It also dates back to the dawn of man, predating many other forms of entertainment.

Music has been defined very differently over the years. Ancient Indians and Greek Philosophers called it tones ordered vertically as harmonies and horizontally melodies. In the 20th Century, composer John Cage had a more simple solution, declaring that any sound can be music: There is no noise, only sound. So the definition of music is blurred.

Typically, people today do not debate whether a noise or a sound is music, but instead debate whether specific bands fall into this category. It is unlikely, for example, that a fan of heavy metal would consider Britney Spears to be music. But with sound and noise all around us, it is no wonder that primitive man found music to be such an obvious way to express himself or to entertain. Researchers say that man probably heard birds singing and heard the rhythm of sounds all around them and this led quite naturally to the development of music as we know it, developing considerably, of course, to the modern day. Music has had its place in every part of history and a specific style can often denote a specific period of time, showing quite clearly its development. For example, it is often easy to spot the sound of a 14th century guitar. It’s not hard to imagine the renaissance having a clear affect on music, despite it going strong in the middle ages. Once devices such as the printing press had been invented, music was much easier to write down and mass produce on a grand scale.

With the internet of today, this is having the same effect, bringing music to more people all over the world, both with the written sheet music and the downloading of tracks (both legally and, unfortunately, illegally) bringing music to people who would not otherwise have heard it. We hear a lot about internet piracy and the knock on effect isn’t just angry record companies but a whole new way of listening to music as the industry embraces the internet as a positive way to share. It all brings a new meaning to the idea of music being a part of everyday life.
